Terms of Service

Effective date: May 25, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rest Faker ("the Service") at restfaker.dev, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rest Faker is a SaaS platform that allows users to define data schemas and instantly generate fully functional mock REST APIs populated with realistic fake data. The Service includes schema building, CRUD endpoint generation, scenario simulation (latency, errors, rate limiting), Postman collection export, TypeScript type export, and OpenAPI/Swagger import.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Rest Faker reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You may register using an email address and password, or via a supported OAuth provider (GitHub, Google). By using an OAuth provider, you authorize Rest Faker to access your basic profile information from that provider.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Rest Faker offers the following plans:

  • Free — 1,000 API requests/month, up to 10 schemas, up to 10 projects.
  • Startup — 5,000 API requests/month, up to 10 schemas, up to 30 projects, mock authentication, XML format, and OpenAPI import.
  • Enterprise — 15,000 API requests/month, up to 1,000 schemas, up to 50 projects, all Startup features.

Paid plans are billed through Paddle, our payment processor. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Paddle's terms and authorize recurring charges to your payment method. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

If a payment fails, Paddle will automatically retry the charge according to their dunning schedule. If all retries are exhausted, your subscription will be cancelled and your account will revert to the Free plan. Request counts on existing schemas will be adjusted accordingly.

All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as described in our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Transmit any content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or service.
  • Abuse API request limits or attempt to circumvent rate limiting mechanisms.
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service.

Rest Faker reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these provisions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and all associated content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the software, design, text, and graphics — are and remain the exclusive property of Rest Faker. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited licence to use it in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the schemas and project configurations you create through the Service. By using the Service, you grant Rest Faker a limited licence to store and process your data for the purpose of operating the Service.

7. Generated Data

All data generated by the Service (mock records, fake API responses) is produced algorithmically using Faker.js and is entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, businesses, or events is purely coincidental. You are responsible for how you use this generated data.

8. Availability and Uptime

Rest Faker strives to maintain high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily restricts access. Rest Faker is not liable for any losses arising from downtime or service interruptions.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Rest Faker does not warrant that the Service will be free from errors, viruses, or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rest Faker and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time by contacting support@restfaker.dev. Rest Faker may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease and your data may be deleted.

12. Changes to Terms

Rest Faker reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Novi Sad, Serbia.
